Obstruction of Justice
You, too, can obstruct the legal system with assistance from the Evil Twin and the Demon Cat.
A Big Wig showcase script, in which all Minions in some way make a mockery of the justice system, whether by falsifying evidence, concealing the outcome of votes, or blackmailing the expert witness into meowing like a cat.

Notes
This script started with the idea of making a Big Wig & Evil Twin script, I liked the idea of both twins choosing a player to explicitly be on their side and make the case for the defence. However, whenever I stopped to write it, it always ended up just a couple of steps removed from Sects & Violets. I then saw someone who had taken a photo of their printed out Demon Cat tokens, and I thought, "oh, that would be fun on a Big Wig script too!" and the theme of Minions obstructing the course of justice fell into place from there. It was also a good excuse to try out the new script editor's ability to import homebrew characters.
I ended up using Blood-Drinker's translation from the Unofficial Discord as that was the best and most Clocktower-y phrasing of the character I could find. The character is by a creator called Chiyu, and the art is too - I think it's absolutely fantastic, I'm very grateful to Blood-Drinker for sourcing it and Chiyu for coming up with such a fun and goofy idea. I added the night order text and created a blue version of the Demon Cat icon for the Alchemist.
How to run
Here are my suggested rulings on how the Demon Cat should interact with characters on this script. Please note that I am not the Demon Cat's creator, and am not asserting that this is how the Demon Cat should be run in other contexts! But in the context of this script, here's how I see it:
- Demon Cat / Big Wig: Meowing is not being mad that your nominee is good. That player is in contempt of court and might die.
- Demon Cat / Harpy: Meowing is not being mad that the 2nd player is evil.
- Demon Cat / Mathematician: Demon Cat has a weird thing where the target knows they're poisoned, so it's powerful to give the poisoned player true information they won't believe. The Mathematician can help track this, but also might not believe the player claiming to be Catified.
- Demon Cat / Savant or Fisherman: The Demon Cat choosing the Storyteller is effectively asking them to poison all storyteller consult characters for one day. The Storyteller is legally allowed to just say "Meow meow meow" to the Fisherman for example, and this would count as the Fisherman ability working abnormally. However, it's a "might," not a "must," so the Storyteller can choose to break Demon Cat madness if they judge it will be more balanced or fun.
Furthermore, here are some storytelling suggestions for the Demon Cat. Again, this is purely my opinion, and Chiyu who created the character may disagree with me. Take these suggestions as specific to this script:
- I recommend allowing the Catified player to use a player's name during online gameplay. For example, saying "Meow meow meow meow Ben" would be absolutely fine. This isn't strictly meowing, but in an in-person game the player would be able to indicate another player using body language or pointing when making a nomination or choosing a Big Wig defence attorney, and it's only fair to let them do the same in an online game as well.
- As a Catified Storyteller, it's more important to follow the spirit of Catification on than make every single word a meow. It would be fine to break meowdness to tell players that an Organ Grinder is causing closed-eyes voting, or the day is over and a player has been executed. (Of course, if you can come up with a fun way to signal this through meows, you absolutely should!)
Fun interactions
MathematicianThe Mathematician counts how many times something actually went wrong due to the Demon Cat's ability! This means they might be able to confirm that the meowing player received true information despite being poisoned, for example. |

VigormortisLet's face it, you're absolutely locking in that Demon Cat ability! Since the Demon Cat is permitted to choose nobody, it can be a good idea for the dead Demon Cat to stop choosing after a certain point in order to make town think they executed the Demon Cat, and then bring it back on final 3. |
