Manually Summoned Monsters

The Summoner opens a portal to some weird shit.

Digitally Enhanced Demons' significantly spicier sister script, about being a dreadful Summoner who summons terrible things.

Notes

This script exists primarily because I like the interactions the Summoner has with Legion and with Lord of Typhon, and then became a dumping ground for all the characters and interactions that I enjoyed on Digitally Enhanced Demons but that I felt increased the spice level above where I wanted it to be. It's become my go-to script if I want a Wizard game that's crazy but not too crazy.

When this script was written, the Summoner jinx allowed it to turn good players into Legion, too! I like the new jinx, too, and think it works fine here, but I thought the old jinx was super fun, and I encourage you to house-rule that "a Summoner who chooses Legion turns most players (including all evil players) into evil Legion" if (and only if) you think your players will enjoy it.

Fun interactions

Spy

The Spy can be a really useful late-game Plague Doctor ability, as minions like the Xaan and the Summoner don't have much to do after the first day or so. Give them the Grimoire! It's also strong in a Legion game, although you probably shouldn't misregister the Spy-Legion as a good player.

Wizard

This script incentivises the Wizard to make a quieter wish, to avoid revealing that this is not a Legion game. Of course, a Wizard can always make a kooky, distracting wish on day 1, and then on night 3 when everyone "knows" it's not a Legion game... the Summoner strikes!
