HALLOWEEN SPECIAL

Player difficulty ★★★☆☆
Storyteller difficulty ★★☆☆☆

Synopsis: A script full of B-movie scoundrels who have interesting interactions with the Lycanthrope.

Notes

Two main ideas here: first, I had been trying for ages to build a thematic script based on a Halloween costume party. Also, I wanted to create something that would make the Lycanthrope less overwhelming for the evil team while still being useful - this was before the balance change! A lot of the good team hate being chosen by a Lycanthrope, and a lot of the evil team don't particularly mind it.

Fun interactions

Gambler

The Lycanthrope can tell if the Gambler died to its own ability! Admittedly, only by trying to kill it. The Gambler has a lot of powerful characters to confirm here: knowing that the Soldier is telling the truth is huge information.

Magician

I like pairing the Lycanthrope with characters who are going to act weird, and Magician is top of the list. I also like the Magician with characters who might say "screw it" and out themselves as a minion: Goblins, Psychopaths and Pit-Hags might all consider risking it, and the Magician might make a beeline to the Psychopath too.

Yaggababble

If it's a Lycanthrope game, don't be shy about giving the Yaggababble kills during the day! You will probably want to simulate Witch kills, but if you have a group that enjoys claiming Psychopath you might want to let the odd Psychopath kill go through, too. (Did I mention this is not meant to be a serious script?)

Pukka

Shamelessly cribbed from Final Masquerade, the Pukka is in my opinion an incredible addition to any Lycanthrope script. Non-lethal poisoning is in many ways more damaging: the good team will never know you were there...
